'She has style, but is it enough to make a whole magazine?'

Come February 1st, Emmanuelle Alt takes over the helm at French Vogue as Editor-in -Chief. She takes over Carine Roitfeld, who held the position for a decade and was credited for increasing the magazine's circulation and advertising. Did Emmanuelle think she could slip in nicely and quietly behind the editorial desk without the Kaiser noticing? Here's what Karl had to say:

"Her style is her big shoulders, long legs, tight jeans, sleeves up to the elbow, one hip out. I personally like her. She's a handsome French woman. She has a style, but is it enough to make a whole magazine?"

  1. Karl's description of Emmanuelle's style seems to apply also to local fashionista Hilary Tsui (save for the long legs).
